Heading toward the North Pole is CIVIS3I fellow Andreia Rodrigues, who is part of the scientific crew on the vessel Polarstern. The expedition PS144, ArcWatch 2, has a strong focus on an almost transarctic survey, covering large parts of the Eurasian side of the Arctic across the North Pole and beyond. Andreia is part of the Marine Geochemistry team and will sample different matrices to contribute with updated data on mercury budgets in this unique environment under the challenges posed by climate changes.
