07/07/2021
The CIVIS3i programme for postdoctoral fellowships is officially launched!

Are you looking for a postdoc opportunity? Are you ready for a new challenge and an international career? Would you like to broaden your network and mature as an independent researcher? Then the CIVIS3i postdoctoral fellowships programme is made for you!

The CIVIS3i Postdoctoral Fellowships will open for submission on the 23rd of July 2021.

The CIVIS3i postdoctoral fellowships are a great option if you are a researcher looking to give your career a boost by working abroad. CIVIS3i offers exciting new training opportunities and a chance to add some sparkle to your CV by strengthening the interdisciplinary and intersectoral dimensions of your research. The goal of CIVIS3i postdoctoral fellowships is to enhance the creative and innovative potential of excellent researchers with a doctoral degree of any age and nationality.

The CIVIS3i fellowships provide funding for researchers hosted by four CIVIS Universities: University of Aix-Marseille, Universitè libre de Bruxelles, Universidad Autonoma di Madrid, Sapienza Universitat di Roma. The fellowship covers two years’ salary, a mobility allowance, research costs and offers the possibility of a family allowance. Researchers submit proposals for funding together with their planned host university and co-host organisation from the CIVIS3i consortium. Proposals are evaluated on research quality, the researcher’s future career prospects, and the support offered by the host organisations.  Potential candidates who would like to submit a project proposal, but who do not have a supervisor yet, can search the research inventory (Find an advisor) developed by CIVIS3i.

CIVIS3i aims to foster excellence through mobility, therefore researchers are requested to carry out the fellowship in a country in which they have not resided or carried out their main activity for more than 12 months in the previous three years. Researchers must take into consideration such mobility rule when applying for a host institution.

Applicants will receive extensive support throughout the preparation and submission of their proposal. The call deadline is set for the 22nd October 2021 at 17h, Paris time.
